A new baby elephant means one thing: noise.

Ranger Anne has a young elephant to play with, and between them they make a tremendous racket.

Why we picked it

• Sound words a child can say out loud while reading
• How elephants communicate, and how loud they really are
• That play is how young animals learn, children included

About the series
Ranger Anne has one of the best jobs in the world — she looks after the animals at the zoo and plays with them. Each book follows her through one creature and one small problem, in sentences short enough for a child reading their own first pages.
