Sea Prayer by Khaled Hosseini, illustrated by Dan Williams. A short illustrated book written as a letter from a father to his sleeping son on the eve of a sea crossing — remembering Homs before the war, and facing what the journey may cost. Hosseini wrote it in response to the death of Alan Kurdi, the three-year-old Syrian boy whose body washed up on a Turkish beach in 2015.
