Merry Mittens: A Moontime Cats Christmas Story by Jordan Morris, illustrated by Charlie Mylie. Carl, Biscuit and Peewee slip out into a night full of Christmas lights looking for mischief, and find a thief's hideout stacked with stolen treasures — including the big star from the town tree. They put the star back where it belongs, and find a home for a kitten living in a box.

Coloured-pencil and watercolour art on deep night backgrounds, short early-reader text and plenty of sound words. Suggested ages 3–7.
